Another simple shot that most of us would not consider taking. The composition is spot on with the uniformity of the windows nicely broken up with that all-important intrusion of the lamp post. I absolutely love the cool gold/brown tones of the curtains within the windows which contrast perfectly with the pale colour of the outside of the building. Well done and many thanks for entering.

There were many black and white street scenes such as this entered that I was definitely spoilt for choice in that aspect. In my opinion, this is one of the finer images of that genre. It has been nicely processed and I love the soft glow portrayed for each lamp with the amount of detail being exposed by the lights just right. Very nice and many thanks for entering.
In my opinion another one of those shots that would pass most of us by. I love the contrast and the shade of the colour green you have here. The vignetting works well and I also very much like the refection of the lamp captured on the outside wall, window and the back of the room in which the cat is sitting. Perhaps a slight cropping in from the right hand side to eliminate the protruding window frame but no matter....I love this image. Well done and many thanks for entering.
A wonderfully observed shot in my opinion and another picture that most of us would not even consider taking. I love the sharpness of the droplets of water - especially those defined by the shadow of the lamp post - on the window and the cool shade of blue fading to turquoise and then almost white. Love it!! I love this image and am very taken with it. Your little girl is silhouetted perfectly against the evening sky and the inclusion of the lamp post adds perfectly to the scene.. I am assuming it was a spur-of-the-moment unplanned shot and that is what makes it stand out all the more for me. OK, so there is some noise in the detail of the sky but I don't think that matters too much. Memories are made of this and that is what photography is all about! Very nice and many thanks for entering.
There were plenty of mean and moody shots to take account of in this competition, but this was one of the few pictures that stood out for me. Again, I think the composition is spot on with the main overhead lamp in a perfect position. The icing on the cake, for me, are the cobwebs upon it which are nicely illuminated by the lamp itself. This is a contest for pictures of lamp posts found on our streets, villages, towns and cities. Pictures may focus on any close-up detail that a lamp post may have, or may contain wider elements to add some context to the surroundings of the lamp post.. The inclusion of at least one or more lamp posts within your image is key. The lamp post does not need to be main focus, but it will add that certain element to your image which would have otherwise been lacking. I very much look forward to seeing what you can come up with.

I love this picture for the colours you have managed to capture, the composition and the slight softness you have afforded it. It narrowly missed out on my top 10. The image would appear to be suffering from a cropping malfunction as I am seeing a rather frustrating white area along the top left hand edge. Fix the crop and I think you have a perfect image.
