Firstly I would like to thank everyone for entering my Landscape Reflections in Water contest. The standard of this competition has been high and it was a struggle to pick my final top ten. The winner has to be this great image of the Vestrahorn in Iceland. The black sand under the shallow water gives a deep rich reflection of the landscape. Exposing for the Highlights has made the clouds more dramatic creating great mood in the image. Post production is well mastered without excess. A really worthy winner well done.

I would love to see your best landscape photos showing reflections in water. The reflections can be in rivers, lakes, ponds or the sea as long as there is a reflection of a landscape in the water. The photo being submitted can be in colour or black and white.

Meet the judge
This image of Buttermere stood out from the start with the beautiful landscape reflections over the lake. The image is well composed with great contrast and sharpness given additional dimension. Post production is well done. I love the way the shafts of light through the clouds given the image serenity. Very well done on second place.
Another image that stood out was this christmas postcard image at Emerald lake in the Canadian Rockies. Your eye is drawn straight into the centre of the image showing the warm tone of a log cabin against the crispy blue light of the snow. Great reflection which fit the brief, nice contrast and depth to the image. Super image Well done on 5th place.
Another great image that fits the brief perfectly. This cracking image of loch Leathan with the Old Man of Storr in the background has great depth and sharpness. Ive been here a few times but never lucky enough to see the peacefulness of this location. Post production is handled well. Congratulations on 7th place.
