I really love this image the beautiful contrast of the colours of the blue sky with some clouds and the water with a beautiful darker blue with the land perfectly splitting the water and the sky, and to top it of this cute little Albatross chick giving me a very big smile on my face with his cute expression but at the same time he is not overtaking or distracting the image and landscape view. so simple but so beautiful, love the composition and lines. The lighter blue sky melting with the darker blue from the water and the sand creating a base and a break of just blue in the image it really shows that minimal and simplicity can be jaw dropping like you say , and most people look automatically for a subject in a image and here the subject is open space freedom for imagination. Pure and natural

This image really catched my eyes. I'm not much of a fan of having people in landscape photos but here it is telling a story. The church on the rocks in the sea a connection between the water and the sky and the walk towards and from the church is really special. this has a beautiful Composition and a unique view with everything in it, water, ice, mountains, snow and a blue sky with clouds . well done. i can see that the sun was partly blocked by the clouds and stopped it from chining directly on the front bit of the blue ice, as that would of be definitely the cherry on top of the cake. but even like this it is a spot on photo well done.

A magnificent composition a very calming energy to look at and still so much going on. The fact that it is shot in longexposure makes it so calming I think, the mountains in the background with the different shades of blue the lonely barn and the fence is just spot on .
