A well planned, thought out and executed shot of the Moon and Venus in conjunction. Minimalistic and providing a real feel of winter serenity within the landscape, with excellent composition and use of the Moon and Venus to balance the shot, lead the eye and provide an almost otherworldly feel. Shooting the Moon within a landscape always works better at dawn or evening twilight as you can expose for the Moon and landscape, often catching Earth Shine, as portrayed in this image. Well done.

This image immediately caught the attention, stunning light on the landscape and beautiful pastel shades in the sky during the last of the days light, great composition and use of the moon to balance the image. Even more commendable due to the fact it was hand held. Tip, when shooting at 170mm remember to open the aperture a little more (F5.6 would be fine) and increase shutter speed for sharpness.

Beautiful capture and very well balanced landscape complimented by a clear sky with a perfect crescent moon. The foreground image is interesting with great detail before disappearing into the haze of the mist creating excellent leading horizontal lines across the vista. Great use of the Moon to round of this landscape and turn it into a striking piece of landscape astrophotography.
