This photograph is simply stunning. The mood created by the lighting, the clarity, and the various textures you have managed to capture all contribute towards this being quite a captivating image of a simple subject. Really beautiful work, well done!

While there were a few photographs of corn in this contest, this one really caught my eye. The fact that you have used the light to celebrate the imperfections and warped shapes of each piece of corn and make it look somehow luxurious makes this quite a unique image - very nice work.

Blueberries were a popular choice of subject in this contest, but this was (in my opinion) the best photograph of them. The clarity and focus on the main blueberry is striking, and the contrasting textures between the blueberry itself and the water droplets makes me want to reach out and bite it! Beautiful.

This is so beautifully lit and captured that it almost feels like it has magical qualities! The positioning of the subject to the left of the frame is also interesting and draws me in, wondering what else could be going on around it. The way you have shown off the beautiful colour is also really nicely done.

We’re getting up close and personal with the food and drink that we put in our mouths. How does our perception of these things change as we look at them through our macro lenses, extension tubes and close-up filters? Textures are revealed, context and overall shape are lost, and we might be a bit surprised and amazed by what we find.

I love this image, it's unique and unusual, and makes me feel like I am stepping into a world of giant shreddies! The decision to have the light shining through from the back, and none from the front is what makes this so special, a great creative choice!

I love the unusual perspective of the spaghetti. The decision to make it black and white also really showcases the textures which really adds something to the story being told here. Also the composition of the shot, how they are not all perfectly aligned is another creative decision that I think makes this a great shot.

The implied movement in this shot is what really drew me to it, I almost feel like I'm watching the oil drip down in real-time. Really beautifully lit and the chosen aperture is absolutely perfect for this shot. Beautiful photograph.

Not an easy shot to capture! I appreciate the artistic considerations that have been made here with regard to the framing and lighting of the subject. And the backlight bringing out that gorgeous color also really rounds the photo out and adds to the mood. Gorgeous!

This is stunning. The backlighting along with the way it fills the whole frame almost makes me feel like I could have stepped under a giant cabbage leaf overhead.! It's perfectly focused and shot in a way that looks almost other-worldly. Really gorgeous work.

This is gorgeous, the overhead angle helps the spiral of the bread to really draw the eye in and all around the frame, I almost feel like I'm looking down on a maze from a bird's eye view. The colour, light and texture are all beautifully captured. Lovely work!

I love the top-down angle of this shot, peeking into the jar as if I'm about to pluck one out. The subject is also perfectly in focus and I really appreciate the aperture you have chosen to keep the eye on the pickles. Gorgeous shot!

This photograph really caught my eye, I love the decision to light it this way, it's quite unusual and really creates an atmosphere in the scene. The contrasting textures are also really well captured. It's a gorgeous shot - really nice work!

This photograph was captured so beautifully I could swear that I could reach out and pick these up! The lighting and composition are so pleasing to the eye and you have really managed to showcase the texture of the noodles. Beautiful image.

The way you have captured the texture in this shot is wonderful. I also love where you have chosen to crop the image, knowing we don't need the entire subject. The use of shadow and light here is also really beautiful.
