Excellent use of ICM for this image, the streaks are near perfect and the tones subtle, limited pallet but yet varied within that pallet enough to give real depth. Just a small note for future work, always try and go over your work at 75/100% magnification and do a quick clean up, there are a few sensor spots still showing in here.

Great mood and depth in this image, and even when placing your finger over the ship the image will still make an excellent art installation due to the drastic change in tones that draws the viewer and the light along the sea, the ship just adds to it drawing the viewer's eye.

There's a beautiful simplicity to this piece of work and it answers the competition brief perfectly, it really is an eye-catching minimal seascape. Furthermore, a question I always ask myself is would this work as a piece of art on a wall, I think the answer here is yes.

Great composition and use of black and white to add depth to the shot on what was no doubt a very grey Icelandic day. The long exposure on and highlights in the smoothed-out breaking waves really balance the scene alongside the pebble for added foreground interest; excellent minimal seascape.

This image is an excellent response to the composition title, very minimal yet eye-catching. We often move away from having our subjects right in the centre of the frame, but here within the smooth long exposure water, careful editing and subtle tones, it really catches the eye.

A beautiful winter seascape in the stunning Lofoten Islands, very nice use of shutter speed capturing slight motion and detail within the tide but also blurring it just enough to add the trailing streaks creating a scene that is more than pleasing to the eye.

Brilliant drone work to time the vertical shot as the boat makes its turn leaving a sweeping curve on the surface of the water that is so aesthetically pleasing. It's an image that instantly makes you take a second look.

Great timing to have nobody else on the beach either walking by or using the umbrellas and excellent contrast within the scene. The vibrance and uniformity of the loungers and umbrellas are balanced so well against an otherwise very flat seascape. Excellent work.

Really nice photography technique with the motion, and the image meets the brief exceptionally as the scene is well composed and very well balanced. For future images, try and tone down the saturation a little and aim for pastel tones. A little less vibrance gives a more subtle and calming feel; elevating this image from commended to highly commended.

A mesmerising image as the eye is drawn in so slowly along the zigzag foreground through the soft long exposure water effect. The image captivates the viewer as once drawn in the focus turns to the windfarm on the horizon and the deep tones of the sky.

A very natural seascape scene. There is quite a lot going on when you actually look at it with the fishing hut and its associated paraphernalia, however not too much as to keep the scene minimal, with excellent use of natural tones and subtle hues.

Stunning image of an art installation (Mary's Shell) that is quickly becoming a landscape/seascape icon. The moody tones add real depth to the image and the eye is drawn to the light hitting the side of the shell. This answers the competition requirement of a minimal seascape perfectly.

Excellent image. The whole scene just works and answers the competition brief exceptionally well. The subtle tones, alongside the lead-in foreground subject of a classic piece of driftwood over soft water and mirrored reflections, make this the ultimate minimal seascape

Seascapes are tailor made for a minimalist approach - one that can bring a gentle focus on the infinite variations of tone, texture and shade. Images can be in colour or black and white, and whilst images may include some land, boats, or other evidence of human activity, there should be an emphasis on simplicity.

Seascape paradise, the Outer Hebrides! And what a beautiful example of a minimal seascape, that actually has a lot going on with mountains, rocks, waves, and beach, but yet balances the entire scene very well to keep it looking minimal, also retaining excellent subtle use of colour.

Interesting scene and nice composition, really nice subtle tones in the sky, landscape and sea! The clouds covering the tops of the mountains help keep the scene looking really minimal with a great foreground interest leading the viewer into the scene.
