This competition is all about an emotional connection, and living in the Pennines, when I look at this image it says home. It might not be dramatic mountains or crashing seas, but I love the gentle colour palette, interesting sky and light picking up the ravines and wild moorland which are enhanced by the small amount of dry stone wall and barbed wire fence. Thank you for entering this lovely image.
My favourite stretch of coastline, it has a wildness and dramatic beauty that lives within you long after you have left it. All enhanced by perfect conditions, fight tide levels and a glorious sunrise. Beautifully captured a d subtly edited. Thank you for entering this, and bringing back happy memories.
I love the composition of this image, by making the sky almost half of the picture, you have shown both scale and majesty of the canyon. The detail in the rocks has been skilfully captured and I really like the colour enhancements. The Condor is the element that brings this image to life. Glorious! Thank you for entering.

I love walking along canals, and this is a typical canal scene that I enjoy seeing often. The boats greatly enhance this image as does the bridge that is reflect in not quite still water. I love the black and white treatment which focuses the eye on the foreground , then invites you explore the fields and trees beyond. A lovely ‘local’ scene, thank you for entering.

It might have been the best idea to photograph when a storm is near, but it has given us the chance to see dramatic image. The rocks although hard and unyielding have a beautifully organic feel to them. I love the ripples and curves which have been very well captured. The sense of scale is enhanced by the closeness of the left hand rock, and everything is enhanced by the dark angry clouds. A very interesting image that I came back to time and time again. Thank you for entering.
A less familiar capture of a very well photographed landscape. A beautiful sunrise that has been allowed to take second place to the majesty and colour of the rocks in the foreground. Sympathetic editing has given a beautifully limited colour palette, one of my favourite combinations. I love the detail in the rocks and the sky, all skilfully photographed. Thank you for entering.
