Nightlife in the City (with people)

I gave the 1st place to this photo because I consider this work exceptional. And not only for the quality of the image, but more for the idea (so simple and effective) put into practice by the author. The loneliness of a photographer lost in the night city is a poem, it is a story of something already experienced. The almost perfect symmetry gives this image a special charm.

It is a strange image. You immediately notice a male figure who seems to come out of the stage. That's probably why I like it a lot. I find this very theatrical and well-curated image: post production performed with the utmost attention to detail. Rain very often gives the photographer very interesting shots as this successful shot is also interesting.

I was very impressed with this photo of the street musician. I could say that this photo is a classic of the night portrait. Excellent depth of field reduced to the maximum with fantastic bokeh. Beautiful facial expression. I would say a very exciting shot. Excellent technical achievement.

When you see this photo, I immediately thought of a shot taken during the shooting of a film: a story told with a fortuitous and unscheduled shot. The image is full of life, characters and sensations. The shallow depth of field helps you see the foreground better. It is a vivid and intense image.

Also this image (like the one that took 1st place) I find it very poetic in its realization. Looking at it, it seems to be there, in the rain, surrounded by humidity and mist. In my opinion it is a shot made on the fly. Great insight, great street life and great shot. I would say, a small precious picture to be framed.
