This show is difficult to do justice to but you have captured both the vibrancy of the colours and the intensity without burning out the highlights. The image is balanced with a true symmetry and brought back memories of my visit there. The image is excellent work well done. I did review this against some of my own images and the colours are spot on

You have captured the atmosphere and colours of Carnaby Street well with a slow enough shutter speed to give blur and interest to the people. I must commend you on the colour balance as it isn’t easy in Carnaby Street due to the high proportion of LED lights which have a strong UV component well done

This was an image which made me think about how well you have captured the light and shadows with the projected illumination on the building. It would have been easy to lose details but you have got the exposure right and the Christmas tree has highlight details. The only critique is there are some lights on the bottom right which just draw my eye away from the focal point of the building

A totally different view point which is one reason this stuck in my mind and I kept coming back to review and compare. Giving the view from this angle has given the idea of the crowd and size without needing to show details of people. Well done on a different approach

This was not an easy subject to get the details correct in both the main and reflected subject without loss of details or burning out and getting bright spots. Your work deserves to be commended on the quality of the exposure and composition, the only slight critique is I would have been tempted to crop the right hand side slightly to remove the bright light on the very edge of the image

I liked the vibrancy of the colours and also how you managed to contain the light pollution from London with a vignette effect I might have been tempted to zoom out slightly as some of the trees on the left aren’t quite as vibrant as those on the right but good work in difficult circumstances

Many places have Christmas lights either as a parade or as an illuminated walk. This contest is your opportunity to show your best photos of Christmas Illuminations in a non-residential setting. Please do not enter residential/home displays of Christmas lights. All entries must be in colour.
