Not Your Usual Seat

Any seat is more comfortable than none at all, seems to be the motto of this entry image. The stall owner is surely there for many hours and even though he has a folding chair next to him, prefers to sit in the box, which is probably half filled, to give him a comfortable angle to sit. Great capture.

When I saw this photo I fell in love with it straight away, recognizing my young self in this girl. I grew up in and amongst trees, at one with nature, it was a way of growing up that is unfortunately alien to so many youngsters these days. The composition is wonderful and peaceful, apart from the wire with the light bulb. You are my winner of this contest, congratulations.

This image made me really laugh, as it is funny and playful without being silly. The sand - beetle is beautifully made, with much love and detail and the contrast to the official looking adult is stark, expressed also in the colour contrast with the beige surroundings. Great entry.

We all need a rest now and then, and if you have to use whatever you can find as a seat, so be it. This image shouts 'hard work' and the working conditions are obviously not ideal, so these men are certainly not spoilt by luxuries, but learnt to make do. Great entry.

Oh, to be a small child again and feel the unbridled joy and exuberance of childhood. This little boy's smile is infectious, made even more obvious by the grim looking face of the ape. A beautiful image, captured for eternity.
