Objects and Their Shadows in Black and White

This was one of my favorite photos in this contest. It's so basic, yet so captivating. I love the monochrome feel of this photo. I also love the addition of the white border. It really makes the photo come to life. Great work!

I really like the grunge industrial look in this photo. The contrast of the dark, rugged concrete steps paired with the bright light that's beaming through, really makes for a great capture. I'm truly in love with the contrast in this photo. Great work!

When I first glanced at this photo, I didn't truly appreciate the shadows being upside down. However, after analyzing the photo further, I thought it was actually a great concept; to think that the shadow world is truly the world upside down. After I had made this realization, I lost sight of the actual people and could only see "shadow people". The angles are perfect, and I think this is brilliant! Great work!

I love the subtlety in this photo. Though this photo doesn't show a major black and white contrast between the flower and its shadow, there's still clearly a shadow being cast by the flower. I think this is a stunning photo. Great work!
