-This is my very worthy winner! Exactly what I was looking for; unposed, unplanned and just a wonderful capture. The concentration on that dirty little face is what set it apart for me. Technically, the lighting and focus are perfect, the main interest is, of course, the face but the way the light is catching that busy little hand adds interest. Thank you for sharing this outstanding image with us.

I love everything about this image. The lighting, the composition and the moment. The depth of field is excellent, I like the way it highlights the traditional surroundings but shows clearly the modern security door - a sign of the times for little monks! The contemplative posture of the child really suits what I was looking for in this contest. Thank you for sharing.

I think this one appealed to the grandmother in me! A beautiful subject and one that is totally oblivious of the camera - just what I was looking for. You have handled the depth of field well keeping the interest on the foreground bubbles but achieving a lovely gentle bokah in the background.

I love the timelessness of this image. Although I was really looking for completely candid, unposed photos this one won me over as the child appears to be completely unaware of the camera. The overall entry just couldn't be ignored. I love the composition and the depth of field gives just enough interest in the background but without being distracting. Thank you for entering my contest.

I really like this entry and it almost made my Top 10 if it wasn't for the fact it does make me feel very slightly seasick! Dare I suggest a very gentle edit would make a lovely image into a great one. Perhaps you could try straightening the steps, and although I appreciate you want to show the enormity of his task a tiny crop from the left hand side would really tidy things up. Thank you for sharing this lovely moment with us.

Ok, I admit it was the cuteness that got me! I hesitated to put this in my Top 10 as I was looking for a child 'alone with their thoughts' - as this one is fast asleep it is hard to tell but I'm sure he is having good dreams! Technically, it is spot on, I particularly like the way the soft edges lead the eye straight into main point of interest. The lighting and depth of field are spot on. Well done.
