Thank you for participating in this contest, much appreciated! A nice composition and the image could be made better by controlling the light. Light is too harsh with strong shadows thus taking away attention from the subject. I would have shot it either in early morning or in the evening to get soft shadows and the texture of wood behind. Overall a good picture. Good luck.

This is a beautiful capture with nice composition & choice of colors. Yellow is color for caution and that's what locks are used for.
The highlight is that the background is blacked out and the subject has a distinct identity making it star of the image. The symmetrical composition adds to the beauty of the image. Kudos!

This is a nice image and could be better if the subject was the focus, as right now the eyes of the viewer wander all over the image to find it. I would have taken this picture at an angle of the plane of the lock, to bring in a different perspective so that it didn't look flat and stand out.

At the outset, thanks for participating in this contest.
This picture is very interesting and there are few aspects that makes it interesting.-
To begin with the use of monochrome and that too against a brighter background, if this image was in color the background would have looked overexposed.
Additionally, it is quite intriguing to see a small lock holding a boat to probably another boat of shore anchor.
And, finally the bokeh used where the boats in background keep fading away along with the composition where viewer is forced to go till the end of the row of boats
Well done.
