This is seemingly quite a hard, graphic and stark image for the category. However, the precise, deliberate arrangement of the elements is very calming and evokes a sense of balance and harmony. The black-and-white treatment works well. Good work, well done!

Great image, what could be more peaceful and calming than watching the sun set/rise with a loyal friend? The handling of the light is excellent keeping just enough detail in the shadow areas and the sun has been skillfully rendered. Excellent shot!

There is something that I find very appealing about this composite. It certainly plays to a 'fantasy' groove, but I like that and it works well, it's an interesting interpretation of the theme and has been done well, the lighting and colour are great!

I love the sense of peace, calm and harmony that flows out of this exotic scene. The colours, light and tonality have been skillfully handled. Using a high ISO was an inspired decision as any artificial light, such as a flash would have ruined the vibe. Excellent work.

At first, I wondered if this fitted the theme, but the more I looked at it, the more I found the dreamlike quality of the young person shrouded in the fabric took on a calm, quietly contemplative mood. The mono tones are lovely too.

Wow, the lighting in this image is stunning, really accomplished work. The composition and idea are really strong too. I would have liked to see this in my top ten but hesitated as I didn't quite feel that it embraced the theme of calm and peacefulness.
