People Having a Break

Such a happy summer snap! If on holiday, or just a day trip, having a good time with friends is always memorable. I love this photo for it's fun and optimistic vibe, with a beautiful background that puts the group into context. Great contribution to the contest.

I loved this image from the moment I saw it. Such a great composition and use of colours. It is good to see the easy conversation between two workmates, who obviously getting on well with each other. The image has a feeling of 'the good old days' about it, some nostalgia almost. Congratulations to being my winner.

Mobiles - the most essential possession of everybody these days - definitely according to the photos of this contest! You used to have a break to - well, have a break, while these days all there is to it seems to be the opportunity to catch up on your smartphone. Great composition!

Oh please, let me in on the joke! This is great to see as a monochrome image, as the eyes don't get distracted by colourful uniforms, but are immediately caught by the wonderful expression of the laughing man. I couldn't help but smile - they say that laughing is catching.

OMG - that's a small ledge to sit and have a rest. It couldn't have been very comfortable but highly necessary. I just love the whole composition with the sloping terrain and the detail of the rocks. The fact that there is no talk, but each member of the group is just minding their own business, is telling its own story of a hard trek so far - and probably more to come, so don't waste your breath. Great image!
