People in Prayer, Contemplation and Reflection

The lone person praying in the back of the church is a stunning emblem of reflection, solitude and connectivity. I love the subtle colors in the stained glass and the ruby redness of the stanchion, along with the majesty and magnitude of the cathedral. Excellent picture!

The light and the light in this picture is fantastic. This is a wonderful capture that shows in the front and back - with the candle and sun stripes perfectly. This shot really got me. I think it is perfect in every way ! Well done!!!

The framing and the framing of this picture are genius. the leaning monk with his head in silhouette leads to the mystery of the shot - also from behind and faceless - and the color and texture of the frames surrounding are rich and give depth. I LOVE this picture!

These hands tell a story. They are lived. they have raised children, mixed food to feed the hungry, worked the fields. They are tired hands. Seasoned hands. Veteran hands. And the pearly beads show devotion and help in the work that has passed and is coming. This is a stunning capture!

I love the lighting, framing and composite of this picture. It draws you in but at the same time, has you enjoying/appreciating what happens behind the closed door, that is otherwise open. The color is clean and the door is shared in its full glory. Excellent capture!

This shot! WOW! I love singular items in color on a B&W shot, like this one does so well. The sheen of the sari and the face tilted away is stunning, as is the light peeking through it ands the action surrounding it. Stunning shot! Well done!

This picture is a 98/100 for me. I want the glare in his glasses to wither be fully gone or fully glared. I am desperate to see his eyes and know that story or have the mystery of his eyes elude, me. The colors are true and rich. Well done!

This picture is genius. Love the splashes of orange, the subject's smile and the accoutrements. While I am wishing for some more POP in this picture - I think it is authentic to the colors that were actually shown. Great capture!!

What captured me in this picture is the perspective. Great to have the lens on the floor, peering gently upward able to catch the ceiling and everything else along the way. I wish the shot itself were a touch crisper - but the perspective here is what makes this. winner. Great shot.

I love the rawness and emotion in her face and hands and the splashed of color in her clothing. all with the spartan background. I sense the seriousness of her please and prayers and authenticity of her requests. This is a great shot!

I love the spacing of this picture. The lighting tells me it was taken in afternoon or dusk, with some sun peeking through. I also like being able to see the plaza floor. I wish there was a touch more crispness on the second half of the shadow line of the picture.
