Congratulations on getting into my top 10. The thing that stands out to me in this photograph is the light hitting the wall. It really highlights the people and almost puts them in a sort of spotlight, like they are on a stage. There is lots of brilliant detail to look at in the image and its overall a fantastic photograph. Well done.
Congratulations on Top 10 in my competition. I love that you got one person to stand still while letting others pass by her, making her sharp and the others have motion blur. I think the still female in it, only make the others look like they are moving even faster which creates a great effect. Well done.
Congratulations for 2nd Place in my competition. Spiral staircases always look great in photographs and create such a great repetitive pattern. There was a few spiral staircases entered but it was the person in this one that stood out to me. Firstly, her bright pink top stands out so well against the creamy colours of the steps. But I also love how they are looking over the balcony, rather than walking up and down the steps. It makes for a much more interesting photograph. Well done!
Congratulations on getting into my top 10. The lighting in this image is beautiful. Harsh sunlight can either work really well in a image, or not work at all and here it really works. The rails of the staircase create great shadows that cast upon the walls and this image is filled with wonderful shapes and patterns. Well done on having the man on the stairs well lit. He could have easily been lost in this image if the image was under or over exposed. Beautiful image. Well done.
Congratulations on 1st place in my competition. I love this image. It really reminds me of the amazing work of Henri Cartier Bresson and his decisive moment images. The amount of movement caught in the image is perfect. Just enough to see that he is moving, but not enough to blur him to be unrecognisable as a boy. Having this image in black and white was a great choice, and I love the high contrast of it. Also perhaps unintentional, but the shape of the boys knees replicates the diagonal and straight lines of the rail Well done!
