I love the cat's eyes in this photo. They're so rich in color and striking against its gray fur. The cat's gaze is mesmerizing and I find it difficult to look away. The orange hue also nicely evokes the fallen leaves on the ground. Beautiful portrait!

I really like the composition of this portrait. The cat's paws and fur frame its face so nicely and direct our eyes through the photograph. I also appreciate how the subject fills the entire frame. Finally, it's just a very sweet and tender moment. Great job.

Great job illustrating such a fun moment and pet personality! I appreciate the sense of movement that was captured here; the framing also works very well, and I like being able to see the distinct water droplets on the right hand side. Well done.

I love the unique lighting of this portrait. The rim lighting creates such a striking profile of the rabbit and adds a bit of a mystery to the image, as well. I really appreciate being able to see the texture of the rabbit's fur and whiskers. Well done.

This is such an unconventional portrait and is so striking! I love the framing, and the fact that we just see the dog's single eye peering out from behind a wall of color. The photo is vibrant with an air of mystery at the same time. Well done.

I love the way this portrait uses shallow depth of field. It emphasizes the small size of the mouse, and at the same time, gives us a sense of closeness to this tiny creature. I like that the mouse's eye is the main focal point, too. Great job.

I sometimes don't think of horses as "pets" with personality, so I found this image particularly striking and refreshing. The horse appears to be laughing! Those teeth and that expression are priceless. I love the moment this photo captures and the overall color palette, as well. Great job.

Such a fun image with lots of personality! Great job capturing the moment when they all had their tongues out in various ways, and composing the image with three pets. I appreciate the triple portrait; it feels like a portrait of a dog family.

I love the cat's expression and gesture here. It looks like he's waving hello! I like that we can see his claws protruding from his outstretched paws. Great lighting and use of color here, too; the green of the cat's eyes evokes the green of the grass.

Geckos are a less conventional pet, and I really appreciated seeing this portrait of Gizmo. I love the perspective and vibrant colors in this image. Having the gecko's foot in the foreground with its eye as the focal point also gives the photo a nice sense of depth. Great job.

I love the interplay of light and shadow in this photograph. You've done a great job of highlighting the details of the horse's face and making a portrait through these. I'm really intrigued by the rectangular pupil of the horse's eye, too.

What a fun moment! It seems all cats like to hide inside of things. Great use of layering and lighting in this image to capture the kitty's personality. I'm amused to see Wilbur's slightly annoyed face peering out from deep within the textured blanket.

I was really struck by the dog's full, snowy mane in this photo. The snow perfectly encircles the dog's face and makes for a very striking, regal portrait. I also like the playfulness of the image, the simple color palette, and the direct eye contact. Great job!

This photo is so well lit. I love the black dog against the black backdrop, and that there is just enough light to separate the two and illuminate the dog's eyes, features, and personality. I can almost feel the texture of his fur. The lack of a more detailed backdrop works very well here. Beautifully done.

I love seeing the dog's singular eye through its snow-caked fur. Such great layers and cool, subdued colors here. I also appreciate this being a little less conventional of a portrait, with the Husky looking out of the frame instead of at the photographer.
