I am fascinated by the juxtoposition between framed pictures at an exhibition or in an art gallery i.e. the visual relationship between individual works of art that were never intended to be displayed or seen beside each other. Alongside this, I am also fascinated by opportunities for candid images showing the relationship between visitors to art galleries and the works of art on display. Like all street photography that opens this brief up for your interpretation. The only proviso here is quite simple: straighforward images of single paintings do not fit the brief. This contest is about paintings in relation to each other or in relation to the people viewing them. It is all about shot selection ... and please: no composites. Use your camera and trust your eye first time around.
