A really strong graphic image here. There were many shots of this iconic landmark (Selfridges/Bullring) in this competition (some more of your own too I believe). However this is the only one from this angle. I love how it totally displaces the scale and location. It could just as easily be pin heads as giant metal disks! I think the decision to use high contrast black and white was a great one. It really adds to the texture. Great work well done.

The thing that really gets me about this image is the simplicity and impact. The slight manipulation making it unreal and interesting. It really grabs the view. With the blank background and soft light adding to this. I do think the vignette is a little strong. It detracts from the nice graphic nature of the shot. This is only minor though and it's still a fantastic photo, good work.

An excellently executed image here. I really like how your interpretation of polka dot is slightly lateral. Also the execution of this shot is brilliant. The composition is fantastic, simple and dramatic with a nice analogous colour palette. Technically these kind of images (super macro) can be very tricky, particularly the focus and you've really nailed it. Congratulations on the competition and the amazing photo.

Polka dot is a fun and quirky pattern most commonly seen on toys, clothing and furniture. In photography, playful colours and contexts usually accompany the polka dot design, but we'll leave the decision of how you present yours up to your own artistic prerogative. Have fun and good luck.

This shot is really emotive, it's great. I've enjoyed the images I've seen in this competition where the interpretation of the theme has been more abstract. It allows for greater levels of meaning. Here I see the polka dot but I also feel the snow. The way the flash lights up the falling flakes, really allows you to feel the environment. The composition and the darkness giving a real depth to the image too. A great photograph well done!

I really love some elements of this shot. A perfectly caught moment, from the expression on her face to the flow of the dress. With just the right amount of movement in the right places. I do struggle with the composition a little. I feel like it could have been cropped square. The off centre placement and slightly dead areas are distracting and take something away from the impact here. That said the hard part is capturing the moment here which you've done well. Just a few tweaks and this could be a great image. Well done.
