Great contest!

I absolutely love this picture, down to the detail you put into the paint can. The only thing that kept this from being my top pick is the shadow. A shadow needs to reflect off something. To me the shadow in the sky makes it look more like he's painting on a wall.

Love shooting air shows and love the picture. My only comment is that it looks like the plane is flying over the sky, instead of coming through it. I believe it would have more of that pop-out effect if the smoke stopped at the edge of the sky.

Very nice job. I like that you added the shadow detail with the dog and ball. The only thing that kept this out of my top 10 is some cleanup needed around the front paws and shadow. Aside from that, I love it.

Very nicely edited photo. And although it does have that pop-out effect I like that you chose a photo where the main subject is coming into the picture. The masking is nice and clean. It very much deserves a spot in the top 10.

This is just a crazy awesome picture. You would have been my number one pick if the arm holding the pencil was extending outside of the frame. The combination of techniques totally blows my mind... I'm just not getting the pop-out effect.

Absolute perfection. The photo itself is edited so it has pop, just everything about project photo has been perfectly executed. It was the perfect choice to do the pop-out effect on. You obviously took time on this because even the masking is flawless. It is well-deserving of the top pick.

Let me see your best images showing pop-out effects created in photo editing software. A pop-out effect image is created by merging two or more of your photos, or modifying a single photo, to create a 3D effect which looks like one object is popping out of another. Some examples would be the contest banner (which was created from a single photo), or an object coming out of a tv or phone, etc. If you have never tried this editing effect before, there are a lot of online tutorials and videos available for guidance. The subject can be anything you choose, but please no adult content (18+). Give this technique a try, and I look forward to seeing your finished pop-out effect images.
