The thrill of posting a letter to a friend, sending it on a long journey, maybe to a foreign land, and all made possible with a simple stamp and a walk to your local post box. Nowadays post boxes and mailboxes are more associated with getting Amazon deliveries, bills and junk mail, or sending something back because it doesn’t quite fit, but they are still very much part of our lives, and range from the plain and functional, to the ornate and nostalgic.
