This is a super candid with the boys expression showing the pleasure of eating a hotdog and a hotdog wouldn't be complete without the sauce. The sauce might the supporting cast but is important nevertheless and not overwhelmed by the rest of the image. It is for me an image that captures the decisive moment espoused by Cartier-Bresson. A split second earlier or later and the boys expression would have been different and maybe the image would have had less appeal. Congratulations on gaining 9th place in the Sauce contest.
I liked this image as it clearly shows the love affair that humans have with sauce and the typical problem we often have in actually getting out of the bottle. As we can see it so oftens sticks to the sides and bottom of the bottle, resulting in the vigorous shaking and sometimes disastrous consequences. A super candid image with good control of Depth of Field to make the background progressively blurry and focus our attention on the subject. Congratulations on gaining 6th place in the Sauce contest.
A beautifully simple but highly effective image that clearly demonstrates what can be achieved with a basic prop and a reflective surface. The image clearly shows something of the nature of the sauce and it contrasts well with the plain colour of the spoon. The image is nicely composed and the reflection makes for a good balance. Congratulations on gaining 8th place in the Sauce contest.
An imaginative and creative image that nicely highlights the viscosity, colour and use of the ubiquitous red or tomato sauce. I like the way you have the spaghetti as the substrate for the sauce and as reminder it is often eat in this way. I like the subtle lighting that doesn't overpower the sauce or result in anything more than the subtlest of highlights. Congratulations on gaining 5th place in the Sauce contest.
A highly imaginative and original entry. I particularly like that you chose to form the words using sauce that's clearly been poured/shaken from the bottle. It would doubtless have been easier to use a brush or syringe but doing it this way highlights the texture and viscosity of the sauce. Congratulations on gaining second place in the Sauce contest.
I really like the delightful simplicity of this image, though I can see that it will have taken quite a bit of planning and effort to produce. The lighting is really well done and gives a good contrast with the dark backgroundof the upper image. Well done for coming up with an imaginative and original image and congratulations for winning the Sauce contest.
A creative way of showing the link between the ingredients and the sauce that is derived from it. I like the simple but effective composition and the subtle amount of reflection which adds to the depth of the image. You have controlled the lighting well and the highlights are appropriate for the style of the image. Congratulations on gaining 10th place in the Sauce contest.
I really like the humour in this image and it did make me laugh. The heat of the Tabasco sauce requiring the cooling effect of the Gaviscon is a great idea and one that many people might relate to. The old fashioned scales make for a nice prop that adds to the effectiveness of the image by linking the bottles, in a way that other compositions might not have. Congratulations on gaining 3rd place in the Sauce contest.

Two sauces for the price of one, so to speak. Jam and custard. A traditional favourite in the UK. You have photographed the subject in appealing way which is so important with food photography. The redof the jam sauce and yellow of the custard sauce is a pleasing combination and the image is beautifully lit. I like the way you have composed the image. Congratulations on gaining 7th place in the Sauce contest.
