Shadows

This photograph of a sunset is absolutely beautiful. The figures sitting in the water with ripples around them creates an incredibly peaceful atmosphere and the silhouettes are a great addition to the image. The orange and yellowish colors add a calming effect and really make the photograph stand out. I love how this photograph looks so chilled out and seeing it makes me feel relaxed and inspired. This photograph of the sunrise at Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes is a perfect example of why deserts are such inspiring settings for photography. The lines of the sand dunes creating a unique pattern, the bright yellows of the desert light creating vivid contrast against the dark brown of the mountains, and all of the textures, shadows and colors in between create an awe-inspiring landscape. Even more impressive is the fact that the photographer managed to capture all of this beauty in one shot, allowing the true beauty of the desert to shine through. Great Photograph. This photo is stunning! I love the depths of field, darkness at the end of the tunnel, and the creative composition. The placement of the boys is perfect and the light is hitting them perfectly to create a great atmosphere. The shadows further add to this atmosphere and the bricks and cobblestone ground provide a great level of detail. Overall, this photo really draws the viewer in and was a great addition to the competition. Thanks for entering!

This photo is an absolutely incredible composition of the four surfers preparing to hit the waves. The colorful little beach hut creates a vivid contrast against the powerful stormy sky, while the surfers themselves all stretch in unique positions. It is truly a captivating and awe-inspiring image that offers a tremendous visual impact. The detail and clarity of the image are superb, and you can really feel the action and energy emanating from the scene.
