Statues of People

The original work here is great, and I think this is a well done photograph that highlights the original artists vision. The capturing of the fog and nearly empty pavement, balanced by the brick wall to the right leaves the viewer feeling the emotion of the statue. Excellent!

Quite alluring and haunting. I really like the selective post processing and how you accentuated the (assumed) original intent of the artist. The photo fits perfectly with the title of the original work with the highlighted moss accumulating on the statue and hanging from its hands.

This image was one of the most striking and vivid of the group for me. Not having seen the statue in person I do not know what the rest looks like. For me, the only drawback of this photo is how bottom-weighted it feels. I like some tension in photos though, and this shot delivers!

Great shot! The timing is perfect and the background treatment for this statue is what really set this image apart for me. Of course some levelling might have helped to bring some extra depth, however it is a quite pleasing image all on its own. Well done

I can't say exactly what about this image draws me to it, but it's very well done, perhaps the use of gaussian blur. The softening of the background and the desaturation does a lot to bring focus to the shadow and texture of the subjects. Nice one!

This is a great capture, and perhaps if a couple minor details would have been done differently it may have had a bit more appeal. Otherwise, very well concieved and I appreciate the accents and enhancements done to convey the original intent of the artist.
