Fantastic composition and wonderful colours, the complex structures and surfaces inside this location make the image. Very well deserving of my top 3, I love the grittiness of the image, and the composition utilising the leading lines of the walls and the cables leading into the mine is fantastic. We are naturally surface dwelling creatures, we exist in our open air world with the earth's atmosphere surrounding us and space as our ceiling. But there is a world which is rarely given much thought, almost always out of sight and, by many, unexplored. This is the subterranean world beneath our feet: caves, caverns, mines, sewers, tunnels, basements, crevasses, bunkers... these are just a few of the things you should consider in this brief. Let's see how you can portray the world which is subterranean, but let's make it interesting - NO subway or tube stations, lets make the unseen visible. Good luck.
