The colours in this scene contrast nicely, making a pleasant frame to look at. It is important however not to forget the basics of photography - focus, exposure and composition. The exposure is well controlled here, but there is a lack of sharpness in the background which needs addressing. If this is an intentional look it needs to be pushed to the extremes, otherwise it looks like a mistake! The positioning of the plants would also benefit from adhering to the Rule of Thirds a bit more, or try cropping tighter to make more of the natural frame the stems are creating.
This image has stunning sharpness from the foreground to the distant mountains and is dripping with a late summer Alpine feel. The gorgeous light highlights the texture and colour of the landscape while the contrast has been expertly managed., providing a harsh summer atmosphere, while maintaining tonal detail. Very well composed and captured. Well done!

We're always looking for unconventional framing for the contest and this image certainly fits the bill. The top-down POV is abstract yet familiar, showing off the luminous summer colour to great effect. The image falls back on the essentials of photography - colour and detail, featuring wonderful directional illumination. A well considered and effective landscape composition.
