There’s a lovely balance to this image and like the first placed entry it tells a story. I’m not quite sure what the story is but that’s half the fun of it.
The bird does indeed look angry, is he expecting the tap to be dripping water for a drink or is he just plain grumpy anyways?
Either way it’s an interesting and entertaining image and well worthy of a top ten placing.
This image has probably got the smallest tap out of all the entries in the contest but the tap, the girl and the dripping water tell a story and I do so like photographs that tell tales.
Reading your description there was an element of luck in you and the girl being in the right place at the right time, but honestly, if you’d planned the shot then you couldn’t have got a better expression or composition.
Well done on a fine photograph and first placing ……

I would like to see your most creative photographs of taps, also known as faucets. By this I mean any device that is used to control the flow of liquid or gas from a pipe or other container. Taps are ubiquitous and we use them without thought, so please use your photographic skills to showcase these everyday objects. You may include people in your entries but please ensure that the tap or taps are the main focal point of the image. Colour and monochrome entries are both permitted.
