Whilst this shot is an iconic one it is very well taken and I love the long exposure and reflected light. It has atmosphere, feeling and the threads of flow add to the quality of the image. It is also well framed and composed and the longer exposure creates a sense of movement. The mist from the falls cleverly diffuses the light and makes the sunrise atmospheric. Wonderful, well done.
This image caught my eye right from the outset - superb. The exposure, play of light, depth, colours and tones. I wanted an image which is unmistakably America and yet was also a beautiful photograph. This fills all the criteria. I know it is an iconic location but somehow this one differs and is, in my eyes, one of the best I have seen of this location. I would like to have seen the location and title mentioned as I feel it is important to contextualise.

For a landmass that’s so expansive, it’s little surprise that the climate, ecology and environments vary so dramatically, from the arctic tundra of Northern Canada to the tropical rainforests of Central America.
