The photo has more of a purple tone to it rather than the typical blue hour hue which makes it even more interesting. Fog never fails with making photos even more interesting and beautiful. There is just something about it that is really nice. Here it is everywhere and with it magnifying the purple colors of the morning light, it made it so much prettier. I also really like the trees here. There are many different species of them which gives it variety. Interesting enough, along with the peacefulness, is an eeriness to me because of the fog. Fog always tends to create lots of different moods like this. I absolutely love everything about this photo and the way you captured it. It is a perfect example of how amazing the blue hour can make a photograph turn out. Congratulations on taking such a great shot!
There is so much in this photo, but almost all of it appears pretty flat because of the high location you took the photo at. This merges it all together in a sense, which makes this photo feel minimalistic sort of. This is very interesting and not what you'd expect from a photo like this! The things that do stand out however, are mainly the balloons and the pagodas which are very interesting! I've never seen any like that. There are so many steeples surrounding the big ones. Very cool designs for sure. There is so much green throughout the image which also blends it together. There are trees, fields, etc. I love that the balloons are here because it makes the sky area even prettier besides all of the nice blue hour colors. Awesome job on such a beautiful and fantastic image.
This photo is very good and unique, and definitely not your average blue hour photo.
In reality only a small portion of the photo is the sky, but this building is so reflective that it changed the photo entirely and made almost the entire photograph consist of this color. Great job on capturing this photo from the angle you did and catching so much of the sky in there.
Next you have lots of things going on way at the bottom of the photo. There are too many things there to even keep track of! There are more sky reflections, trees from the outside, window panes, small glimpses to the inside of the building such as the orange lights.
Congratulations on taking such a cool and different kind of photo!
Your photo here is simply outstanding. There is so much here and it seems to almost explode at the viewer. Everything is in focus, allowing us to take it all in and the clouds seem to have a slight blur which gives them a moving feel. The entire scene is drenched in the beautiful blue hour tone, exactly what this contest was all about, and it's even being reflected here by the water. What an incredible scene to have captured! Tremendous job on your photograph!!!
This photo is really pretty and has so many elements to it.
First off I love the peacefulness of the little house on the lake and that nice rural feel it has. It's great that you caught it when it was lit up as that brightens the image.
The blue hour's light on the landscape gives us more peacefulness as this time of day just has that in general.
The mountain is tremendous and so huge. I can't imagine living right next to one like that. I like how the tree line goes up like the mountain does, almost as if they are following its pattern.
The light trails from a car or whatever you captured is amazing and is so different from the rest of the image which makes it really interesting. It works out great with how it leads your eye right to the house, the subject of the photo.
There is so much in this photo, but yet it remains an image that evokes calmness. Great job on managing to capture it like this.
This is a super cool shot in so many ways. It has so much gloominess and darkness, giving it almost an eerie feel, but yet everything is engulfed in the blue hour color and along the horizon, colors can still be seen from the sunrise just starting. Because of all this light and color, it should not be such a moody image, but yet it is which gives it nice contrast. The towers really make the image because they are so big and have an unusual shape. I've never seen any like this before. I like that the railroads are in there because besides just looking nice, they are also industrial which fits them and the towers into the same category. I absolutely love it that you caught two trains passing by and their trails. This is another element that makes this image. The whole foreground is pretty dark and the soft trail lights really lighten that area up. Fantastic job on everything. This is such a great image.
This photo has beautiful blue hour tones all over it! And the mountains match that colors which magnifies it, as does the water. The only thing differing from the blue hour color besides the shore over on the right, is the tree. It's great that you used the rule of thirds with it to show more of the mountains which also works out for drawing our eyes more to the tree. The reflections of the tree are pretty and blurry and appear to be moving as created by you using a long exposure. It's pretty interesting that it is growing in the lake since you don't see that very often, especially for a tree of this size. Congratulations on taking such a pretty photo!
This is such a cool photo in a lot of ways. There are so many buildings (probably houses?) here but they are all compressed into a very small area which gives the photo kind of simplistic feel. They also all blend together due to being the same color which contributes to this even more. Along the bottom you have those beautiful car trails running along the road, kind of adding a border to where the end of those buildings are that really shows. The lights kind of look to me like a mote to a kid's sand castle and the buildings are the castle. Then what makes the photo even better is the blue hour sky. It's so bright and contrasting to the town that it makes everything really stand out. You caught this photo at the absolutely perfect time when all of the lights from the town were on, giving the photo a nice decoration, there was still enough light outside to illuminate everything, and also when the sky had that beautiful blue hour color which besides making this photo look nicer, made it a great choice for top ten. Great job!
Your photo here is great and grabs our attention right away with the vibrant lights of the famous and very cool Falkirk Wheel that appear almost hypnotizing as they repeat and force us to look to the end of the rings. Along with that, there are the beautiful blue hour hues in the sky, adding more color to the image, and they are also reflected in the water as are the wheels which magnifies everything. And if we look to the far ends of the image, we also notice the mountains, clouds, and city below. This image has the illusion of being taken in a small space, but really there is a lot still going on outside of the fences. Congratulations on such a great photo of this beautiful location.
This photo is one of those that is better off minimalistic. By only having a little line of rocks and a boat on the water, it lets us take in more of the colors, clouds, and sky which is so stunning already that it doesn't really need much more. The sky is so pretty here. There are lots of colors and clouds soaking it up. The photo was taken on a long exposure which always gives clouds a nice feeling because they have a slight blur to them which makes them look like they are moving right in front of us. And best of all, the blue hour is the main part of the image. Besides being just in the sky, it's also in some of the clouds and in the water. It's the main theme of the image which made it a great image for my top 10. Awesome job!
