Brief
It’s time to go metropolis mad and get creative in the urban environment. The human-made landscape can be a visual feast for photographers. We’re looking for any angle on the subject; from industrial vistas to amazing architecture or perhaps you want to communicate a deeper message about the concrete world we’ve made.
Win prizes from Affinity Photo, Digital Camera Magazine, Apple, Sony, Rotolight and Cewe.
Prize details
The expert judge's chosen winner of the 'Urban Landscape - 25 and under' contest will win £100 cash and Affinity Photo + Affinity Photo Workbook. The winner of the crowd vote will receive Affinity Photo and a year-long subscription to Digital Camera magazine.
The top ten from the expert judge and the top ten of the crowd vote will each receive Affinity Photo.
The winners will be featured in Digital Camera magazine and www.digitalcameraworld.com as well as sister magazines including N-Photo and PhotoPlus, plus receive exposure through Digital Camera’s social media. There will be an exhibition at The Photography Show in the UK, March 2019, and winners will be invited to attend a special gala reception.
The overall winner of Young Digital Camera Photographer of the Year 2019 will win £3,000 cash, Affinity Photo, an iPad Pro, Apple Pencil, a Sony RX10 IV, a Rotolight Neo 2 kit and a Cewe print.
How it works
Every photo submitted will be available for the crowd to rate once the submissions period has ended. In this contest, the entries are hidden until the rating period begins.
Some contests on Photocrowd also have a judge. After the submission period closes the judge chooses their favourite images and writes some image reviews. The crowd and judge results will be announced on the same day.
