The state of Washington has many beautiful spots to shoot photography. You found an ideal spot with the mountains in the background. I love your colors in this shot. It gives it a layered look that is fascinating to me. Your focal point is right on target. Very clear without too much editing. Isn't it interesting to see what beautiful nature has in store for us. I put this in my top 10 immediately upon seeing it. It reminds me of a fresh start to life. The impact of this shot will stay with me for a long time. Very colorful entry with a great sense of depth. I love the angle you shot this from.

First off, great location and time of day to shoot this. When I first saw this photo I knew it was a top 10. I love several details of your close up. The icy branches are full of life even though it's cold. You have crystal clear ice formations. With the background muted I can't make out whether this is a frozen lake or field but it doesn't change the fact at all that it was a great capture. The sun gives a nice warm color variance to the coldness. Great job and thanks for entering my contest.

First off beautiful shot (and series). Beautiful nature does not always have to include living plants and flowers. Your focus and selection brings out the very best of this wonderful area. In a way you can say that the cause and effect of wind is what makes this area so fascinating. If you went back 2 years from now and shot this exact location, it would have a different look to it. I can imagine standing there and shooting this. I love how colorful it is and the depth of field it represents. Having a moody sky at this time of day makes the top half pop somewhat. Wow, wow, wow! I simply love this shot. I am amazed that your thought on this contest went to a different view point than what I imagined. I love the framing on this shot. More to the right and the beautiful moon would be hidden by the rock formation. Where did the lighting come from? Did you have to paint this? A lot of questions, I know.
