I gave myself an unexpected headache judging this contest, going back and forth between quite a few of the entries but this is the one that best summed up what I was looking for. I was expecting to be drawn to a more minimalist shot but this one stood out for the composition and unmistakable logo of New Holland. I was drawn straight to the logo due to the placement of it in the shot and with it not being in a more conventional section of the frame. With the positioning of the standing figure the photographer has been able to fill the remainder of the shot with a working tractor in the field so even if the viewer is not familiar with the New Holland brand, there's no mistaking the brand has agricultural roots (no pun intended). There's a lovely depth to the shot and good to see a classic old tractor working the land rather than one of the more up to date modern models. I think this is the only entry featuring farming so well done for something slightly different. Congratulations on the first place and thank you for entering.
This is a really strong shot with very bold, striking and contrasting colours. The Shell logo is one of those logos which is instantly recognisable throughout the world and this capture really caught my eye. The fact the logo is on an oil can is an a added bonus. It's visually very appealing and embraces the minimalist feel I was looking for. I may have gone for a smaller can to give it even a more minimalist feel but that's just a personal thing. A great shot and thank you for taking the time to enter the contest.
Out of all the McDonald's entries this was the one that stood out to me and really caught my attention. I love the different styles of lines and bands and the great minimalist feel but the fact that the logo is a letter is the reason its missed out on a placing. In a different contest I could see this doing really well but unfortunately it's just missed the brief this time. Thanks for entering though.
This is a shot that I came back to and another one that I wasn't quite expecting. I had an idea in my mind of what I was after, that being a logo or part of a logo which is instantly recognisable without any letters or words. The thing with this shot is that what when I came back to it and looked more in depth, Victoria's Secret was the brand that came in to my head. I admit that I'm pretty clueless when it comes to lingerie but the Victoria's Secret brand is one that's obviously stuck and this shot really enhances that. Apart from the obvious it's the pink lighting that really draws your eye in and very cleverly uses the reflection to give the shot more width. Had the reflection not been used I don't think the shot would have been so strong. There's also a lot of different lines running horizontally and vertically which are complimented nicely with the gentle curves from the window visuals. To me this is a superb night shot and one that meets the brief perfectly in a way I wasn't expecting. Well done and thank you for entering.

The idea of this contest is to show some famous brands but without any letters or words. Often the strength of a brand needs only simple elements to be instantly recognisable like colours or shapes. You can use the banner photo as an idea. Please don't use editing software to remove the words or letters just let your eye and camera do the work. The more minimalist the better but it's not a requirement. Any brand is acceptable as is colour or black & white.
