I assigned 2nd place to this photo for various reasons: for the originality of the object and for the infrared technique used to make it. A great photo shot. The natural setting makes this photo a work of art and the castle in the background enriches the image. The infrared removes the green and adds to the photo an air of contemporaneity and monochromatism which in this case gives the image an air of the past. A great post-production job.
"Abstract arches" - a title guessed by the photographer. I really appreciated the play of the bows that seem to intertwine with each other. This image pleases the eye, despite having a very simple framing. An excellent definitive cutout, square, I would say, unusual, but very effective. A nice relationship between whites and blacks, between light and shadows. It looks like an overlay of many images which makes this image truly spectacular. Congratulations to the author for the 7th position in my personal ranking.
I love minimalism in architecture and I was satisfied by finding this image among the photos of my contest. The photo that is full of elegance and grace. The right cleanliness of colors and shapes immediately attract attention. The image may seem simple in every sense, but you can understand and see an excellent post-production performed by the author of this photo. I gave this image 9th position because I found myself really in trouble: the contest is full of very well executed photos. But I am happy to have found a small space among the winners for this “pearl” of minimalism.
I gave my 1st place to this photo. It was difficult to choose among the so numerous and beautiful photos. But this photograph of mine gave a lot of positive feelings. In the foreground is the fairytale atmosphere that comes out with arrogance with the fantastic post-production colors (blue and yellow) and perfect lines of this image. A perfect example of a perfect wide angle. Congratulations to the author for this fantastic shot.
I didn't know this place (The Victoria & Albert Museum in Kensington) but the proposed image is very interesting. I think it is a simple environment, white and sterile at first glance, but thanks to the reflection on a shiny surface, it creates a perfect game that creates a very intriguing result. Here the professional eye of the photographer played a lot, capturing the right shot of this environment. I would really like to complement with the logistical choice of this image and clearly for 3rd place.
