Love this perspective on this building, so different from the usual shots I see of The Oculus!
I know you would have been restricted, but I would have liked to have seen it more central in the frame. I feel there's a little bit of negative space, which isn't adding much at the top.
Don't be afraid to push that contrast and go true black and white too!
This is a beautiful shot and I love the leading lines all over the image!
The framing is great and ticks all the boxes for me in that respect.
I like it in black and white and think the contrast throughout the image is great.
The only reason I couldn't place this higher is because I am unsure if it ticks the "at night" section of the brief.
If I could have had a top 11, this would have made the 11th spot!
I really like your abstract take on this brief and you have created a wonderful, artistic image which is vastly different from everything else in the competition.
That band of colour through the image is what makes it for me, the saturation and contrast is absolutely perfect!

Big fan of a slow shutter speed and some water, and this is ticking those boxes!
The framing is really good, and using the piers to lead the viewers' eyes is a stroke of genius.
I would like to see a slightly darker edit as I feel it's drifting towards being a bit too overexposed for me, but that is personal preference.
Congratulations on your winning image.
As soon as I saw this, I knew it was going to place high, ticks all the boxes of the brief and has that little bit extra that just sends it over the top.
Colour treatment is great, and I think your exposure works perfectly for the subject too.
I also appreciate the amount of editing you have had to do to achieve this effect, but it was definitely worth the effort as it's really well done!
I'm a massive fan of the amount of detail you have packed into this image; it's absolutely pin-sharp front to back, and I appreciate the effort you have put in to get those results!
The town stands out perfectly with the colour temperature difference, and the colours look great.
I'd just have a second look at some of your masking around the sea as a little obvious where you've put the blur in, but apart from that, a really nice image.
I know there's a lot of editing going on here, but I do really like the whole feeling of this image!
The colours are great and I don't feel like you've pushed it too far that it wouldn't be considered real.
Framing is good, but is just a tiny bit off being perfect wth the foreground leaning a different way to the back.
A late addition to my top 10, but I'm glad it's in here!
I chose it because I like how you have brought a human touch to the image, yet it's most definitely an architectural shot and ticks the brief wonderfully!
The Colours throughout the image work really well, and the leading lines work well to lead the viewer's eyes around the image.

You've got a gorgeous image here which I would be really proud of!
The exposure, considering it was taken at night, has been handled really well, and the colours across the whole image are great.
I really appreciate the time you have put into the description, too, and it shows me how much this photograph means to you.
I'm nitpicking, but there is a little bit of distortion which can be seen at the bottom of the image, and you're ever so slightly over to the left too.
Congratulations on your top 3 image!
Would love to know if it's a stroke of luck with the police boat going by or if you waited for this moment, but either way, it creates a very dramatic image with The Shard in the backdrop.
Colours are great, and your choice of colour grading with the vignette really adds to the atmosphere to make a beautiful image to look at.
This is a very "Instagrammable" image, and I'm not ashamed to say I like it because of that.
Your choice of colour treatment and grading works perfectly for the subject and makes all the right bits pop.
I would like to have seen a 5x4 crop as I feel there's a little too much sky, but otherwise a really great image.
Congratulations on 2nd place!
This is a beautiful image which I would love to have in my own portfolio.
I think everything about it is amazing, the framing is great, and it uses those leading lines to draw the viewer through the image.
Your editing is fantastic, and your choice of colour treatments is spot on too.

Buildings take on a completely different character at night. Lit not by the sun but by streetlights, and the glow of the town, and maybe lights from within the building showing us some of what goes on within. For the architectural photographer it is a bigger technical challenge, and getting the correct exposure, the correct balance between the different light sources, can be a case of trial and error at first, and then eventually experience. We are focussing on the exteriors of buildings, not interiors in this contest.
