I love the close in capture of these attractive roofs with corrugated tiles. There are a wealth of tones and textures throughout the image for the eye to explore and linger. I like that the little archways on the left have been included in the compisition, as that invites the viewer to explore what lies beyond the scene immediately in front of us. Lighting conditions were probably a little tricky, as there looks to be some bright sunlight and no doubt correspondingly dark shadows, but the exposure has been well balanced to give a great shot. Congratulations on your third place finish.
The bold shapes and shadows made this image stand out as the winning shot for me. Whilst the subject is clear, the shapes and lines give the image an abstract feel. I think it is to your advantage that the sign is faded, otherwise it would no doubt have pulled the eye too strongly and dominated the shot. Congratulations on your winning image.
Some rural buildings look to be additions to a landscape, here however the stone barn with rusty corrugated roof looks to be a part of the landscape itself, growing out of the hillside and appearing almost as natural as the fields and hills. Composition works well, with the buikding large enough in the frame to enable the viewer to explore all the details, but we are still able to see around the sides to admire the beauty of the landscape in which the barn sits. Congratulations on your second place finish.
I love this bright and boldly coloured image. Had it been captured on an overcast day we would have been offered an entirely different image, but with the strong sunlight and cloudless sky, we have an image bursting with light, energy and colour. I am unsure what in reality we are looking at, but there are enough little details in the scrawled lettering and the little shadow details to hold the interest. Great work, well done on your top ten placing.

In this contest I would like to see your photos that show corrugated materials. Please make sure the corrugated subject is an obvious feature of your image and the corrugation is clearly visible. Corrugated panels and surfaces are composed of materials such as metal, fibreglass and plastic, shaped into a series of parallel ridges and furrows to provide strength and is used throughout the world for construction, from modern industrial warehouses to simple rural dwellings. Your image could show close up details of corrugated materials, or a wider view of buildings and objects composed fully, or partially of corrugated materials. Photos can be in colour or black and white. I look forward to seeing your entries.
