Composition great. Love the matching angles on the riders/bikes plus the curve of the road vs the angles on the bikes. The house in the background doesn’t combine that well with the racing story for me. Could there have been a better position within the route to photograph from? Also the edit feels a little too vintage vs quite modern riders for me. But overall v v nicely photographed.

I love this shot! The colours & movement in the feet are excellent 👌 There’s 3 aspects which slightly bother me though. 1: the runner closest to the camera is out of focus 2: The crop/framing is slightly too tight 3: The blue cone upper right is distracting - would edit out. Looking forward to seeing more of your work!

Stunning!!!! You must have waited for what can feel like centuries & potentially made several attempts to achieve this image. The expression & position of the hunter is absolutely perfect. The position & juxtaposition of the prey is perfect. Love the reflection in the water too. One aspect is a bit bothersome to me - would have liked the background extended at the top a little to give the wings more space. I’m assuming the subject was moving towards you & not enough time to adjust or no option to as it was a prime lens so could’ve been a job for post. The flecks of water are beautiful too & add to the feeling of movement. Truly stunning work!!!

Framing & subjects position are STUNNING!! Technical execution needs refining though - focus & exposure. Tricky shot due to the contrast of highlights & shadows on either side of the shot. I’d have shot this image in a lower exposure as overblown highlights can’t be fixed, then brought the blacks/shadows up in the lower right. Or taken a dry shot of the shadowed area in the correct exposure & combined the images. Composition & story telling are are a 10/10 though - well done!

Loooooooooooooool! Is this a technically well executed photograph - yes. Is it a photograph which makes you look - yes. Is this a photograph one wishes to look at - debatable. Thanks for the laughs & keep up the good work 🙏

Subject & comp = excellent. Technicals need work I’m afraid. Focus should be on the action - bird beak/head & insect. Plus the exposure needs tweaking so that the colours of bird are clearly visible including tail. Make a few tweaks & send us some more :)

This is BEAUTIFUL!!! I’m being slightly picky here, but feel like the rider’s outfit & expression don’t match the style of the rest of the image. The colour toning, rays of light & waves with the white horse are fantastic! If the rider was wearing a vintage dress it would be perfect 👌 Would be tempted to shoot with a little more space at the top of the frame. Shoot another one & re submit please :)

As with all your shots (assuming another 3 are yours as very similar style) - the background & birds are both dark & similar colour tone means the viewers attention is not fully drawn to the subject. Please do shoot some more with greater colour separation & potentially stronger light on the subject as the rest of your photographic execution is fabulous 👌

Bit more space above bunny’s buttocks please next time 🙏 If it was mine, I probably would’ve reduced bunny’s bum in size with warping in photoshop - the viewers eye tends to go there. Other than that - BEAUTIFULLY done & looking forward to seeing more of your work!

Based on this image, you’re at the stage where an upgrade of camera would massively benefit you. Composition is fantastic. Lighting fantastic (granted it’s not studio but we choose what natural light to photograph). Subject position in frame & body position both fantastic. If you’re looking to pursue motion shots like this, you’ll need a camera with greater AF capabilities. Absolutely superb.

STUNNING!! Absolutely love the colours & framing & comp. It’s the type of ‘perfect’ image which calls for exact centralisation of the subject though. Plus I would’ve liked to see better focus & sharpness on the subjects eyes & face. Supremely excellent image with a couple of tweaks - super well done!

Focus is good. Bird & fish expressions are great. Two aspects for consideration for improvements are the framing of the photograph - could there have been a position whereby the wings were fully in frame? I can see you were at 70mm with a 70-200 so assuming there wasn't enough space to move back. Also the positioning of the subjects in the frame would be nice if it was wider. Otherwise v nice.

Simply stunning image!!! Super congratulations of the winning image. It's pretty much flawless. Excellent capture & must have been a long waiting game. The light is lovely. The match of the background to the chamelaon is perfect. The whole tongue & insect is in focus & allows the viewer an insight into the world of a chameleon. Super congrats!

This image is absolutely beautiful. Love the framing, love the waves, love the position of the surfer & the surfers position. Have commended this image on the basis of the above, however the focus is sightly off as it is located in the lower part of the frame & should be on the subject - the surfer. Super well done though on all the good parts. Do keep shooting with emphasis on the focus - will need a fast camera with decent AF & tracking for this type of image.

Beautful shot. Nice framing, nice subject position in frame & body position. Also great expression. Captured the movement & the viewer can feel the movement of the waves & what it's like to be a surfer. The focus is a little off. A Canon 80D may be tricky to operate with this kind of fast movement. But if you have a go experimenting with the AF areas might be fine. V nice overall.

Very cute image! Tells a nice story of family at home. Expression on the son is super nice! Focus could do with being a bit sharper - 1.8 might be a little tricky here. Play around with AF area & a higher aperture would make life a bit easier to get a tack sharp focus on the son's face. Positing yourself a little to the right would have chopped out the bush on the lower right which would have made for a cleaner image. A little lower may also benfitted this image by creating a little more sky & a little less driveway. Very nice effort overall & great conceptually.

Absolutely love this!! Comp lovely. Great reflections in the droplets. Wanted to write you a review as I think your photography would massively benefit from a gear upgrade. Glad you listed your gear so we could see. Your conceptualisation is great. The set up looks absolutely fine as do the settings. I actually started on the 18-135 lens & it is a great lens, but suspect it's capabilities may stop a little short of being able to get a tack sharp subject in this type of image. Haven't used a rebel, but suspect it's capabilities may also stop a little short of tack sharp in this scenario too. You could potentially try better glass on the rebel (if poss) or look at a gear upgrade. Sonys would be fab in this scenario & are quite reasonable in the grand scheme of pro camera bodies esp 2nd hand. Haven't looked too closely at the Canon mirrorless, but also potential. Super well done!!!! Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Super fun photograph!!! Would like this on my wall. Not in focus enough for a commend. But is a fabulous image!!! Nicely composed. Strong story. Great colour palette with matching red shorts. Shoot another one with faster shutter & greater focus please :)
