Monochrome photos can sometimes be boring, but not in this case. Here, the light source makes the difference: the brightness is so good the it produces light and dark very well. Focus is precise. The figures placed in the right place. It is a shot made on the fly and well done. I do call shot like this “lucky”. And monochrome? Here it is in its almost natural place and offers the warm sensations of a probably cold season.
I am very happy to assign the 1st place to this photo which is not only an example of how a photographer has to deal with fog or mist up close (or almost), but also conveys multiple sensations to us. The fog in the photos is always suggestive but in this picture it is morethan that. The post-produced monochrome helps a lot to the surreal atmosphere and the figures that move and go away suggest something already done. The excellent result between the close-ups and the depth that disappears into thin air. A great minimal.

I want to see your photos where there is fog. The fog can be captured in any setting. Colour and black and white photos will be accepted.
Night cities have always fascinated me. But this photo strucks to me particularly because photographing the fog is always a risk of flattening the image, but here I see a great feeling of depth. The parts in the foreground are well saturated and concrete, I would say bright despite the dark shades. The part on the horizon, on the other hand, appears as a pleasant vision. Two parts make up a picture full of charm and sentiment.

It is a frighteningly full photo. I am sure that many have asked: "But how did (Oh my God) he manage to do it?" I believe that here, without a doubt, we see an exceptional skill of the photographer. I'm talking about technical and artistic skills, because without having the second one, I wouldn't know what the result could be. It is a spectacular job that perhaps deserves the 1st place, but my choice in this case was only a personal one.
