The inclusion of the gate in this image really pulls everything together, giving your eye somewhere to settle. You've handled the exposure very well, with the sunlight bringing out the detail of the frosty twigs and branches of the trees. A worthy winner.

We love the simplicity and muted colours of this image. The curve and rise in the path really pull you into the shot, inciting you to walk into the mist to see what lies beyond. A wonderfully composed shat that many would miss.

We appreciate the clever take on this month's theme, capturing the frosty foreground and treetops in the distance as a wintry bookend to the luminous traffic trails in the middle ground of the scene. The exposure is spot on, and this sure would not have been easy to capture.

What a beautifully composed scene, and the use of the ultra-wide-angle fisheye lens gives the vista an even greater sense of sparseness. The ramparts form a nice leading line around the church and into the horizon where we're met by beautiful morning light.

We love the overhead view, which creates a nice abstract feel. We also like the way the stream cuts a line through the frame, guiding the viewer's eye from one edge on through to the other. It takes a moment to recognise what we're seeing.

You have captured a perfect exposure, and we love the use of black and white. The careful composition hooks us in with the frosty reeds in the foreground, leading to the wonderful reflection on the water. This is a fabulous, minimalist image that perfectly evokes winter.
