Grasses (in colour)

This photo has everything I could have ever wanted to see in this contests - that's why it is my winner! Artful, yet simple, which is rather difficult to achieve, nothing to take the eye away from the beautiful single grass. The light and tone of the image are magical. Thank you and congratulations.

Well spotted and perfectly executed - that's what photography is all about. Catching something at the right time, the right conditions, can turn something ordinary into something extraordinary. Who would have thought that a bunch of grasses can look so stunning!

I am so glad that you have entered this image into the contest, as it shows in such phantastic way, that grasses cannot just be beautiful but have a vital role to play in certain environments. What trees are for mountainsides are grasses for the sandy beaches and dunes. Great capture.
