I know these flooded mine shafts very well, because I worked about four years as a tour guide in a manganese mine. With the right lighting they take on a mixture of charm and restlessness. They almost look like a door to a new dimension.

This photo struck me immediately for the proportions. The huge size of the mine compared to the people crossing the walkway. This as if to symbolize the smallness of man in the face of the enormous work that the mine faces every day.

Beautiful this photo for sharpness and depth. The presence of the cart in the foreground gives further charm to the photo. I would like to walk through this gallery to find out what secrets it can hide along its path.

I walked around abandoned mines several times, observing disused rails, ancient work tools, mineral extraction sites. Every corner of these mines reminds us of the effort that every miner made every day of work. This photo reminds me of all this and for this I liked it a lot.
