The photographer froze the action to perfection in this image, catching the peak of the jump for both horse and rider. Everything in focus is moving, dynamic: from the horse to the rider, to hair and fringes, to the dirt flying off the ground. I particularly love how the fringes on the rider's trousers mimic the hair on the horse's tail, making them look almost alike. An incredible moment wonderfully caught on camera. Well done!
What an incredible shot! The photographer caught action beautifully in this image - the jumping subject frozen at a pleasing pose, pin sharp. I love the use a narrow depth of field. It perfectly sets the main subject apart from the rest of the crowd, whilst allowing us to make out enough of what is happening in the background without it becoming distracting. I love that the smoke and a few flying pieces of ash and dirt are pin sharp too. Extra nice touch is the main scene being perfectly framed by the dark banners and canisters on either side and by the dark logs and trees at the bottom and top of the frame. Like a natural vignette drawing the viewer's eye to the main subject. A fantastic capture, well done!
What a unique and incredibly eye-catching image! The capture looks like a scene from a fantasy movie, so dreamy it could seem unreal if it wasn't for beautiful details like the horse's dishevelled hair and the dirt being flicked off its back hooves. I love how the horse has been caught at the height of its action, the peak of the jump. Even if we can't see his face, the "rider"'s elegant attire largely contributes to the beauty and magic of the shot. A truly magical shot that thoroughly deserves first place. Well done!

**This contest is open to photographers ranked between 251 and 1000 in this week’s Leaderboard.** Jumping is exciting. An adrenaline filled burst with stomach in mouth, hair in the air (for some) and the bump of the landing nervously anticipated. It can take courage, practise, and fitness! Submitted images can be of anything and anybody jumping, from dogs leaping for treats to motorbikes jumping buses, via kids on trampolines, dudes on skateboards and crazy types in wingsuits.
