Gorgeous photo - I'm not sure how you did it but you have light highlighting the front of the windmill despite the sun setting behind and that has really made the image pop. I don't think a silhouetted windmill would have been nearly as striking. Nice balance of tone and texture in the field in the foreground that adds without distracting and nice composition through out the frame. Nice work - well done

This is such an old fashioned British scene, classic old car, rolling green hills and an old fence (if only there was a sheep watching from the field!). Great composition and use of leading lines all pulling your eye in towards the car

**This contest is open to photographers ranked between 251 and 1000 in this week’s Leaderboard.** All machinery gets old. Some of it just keeps working, a testament to its design and build. The rest doesn’t, often getting discarded in junkshops, yards and fields where the observant photographer stumbles across it. There’s a heck of a lot of character to this aged technology, with its rusty wheels and battered casings, and it reaches back into earlier times when the workings of things were maybe more on display, and a little easier to grasp.
