What a happy photograph this is, you have perfectly captured the child’s joy and excitement. The composition is very good for what must have to been a chance capture, to some existent. The sharpness of the of the sea foam adds movement and energy. Your image made me smile. Many congratulations on your top ten place. thanks for entering.
I like this picture very much, it is evident that the dogs are very pleased to have a treat break during a walk, and there can be no better way to enjoy the countryside with a couple of enthusiastic dogs. The quality of the image is excellent, the dry stone wall has fantastic detail. the sky is dramatic and I like the black and white treatment. A joyful image that made me happy. thank you for entering and congratulations on your top ten place.
This is lovely image that makes me long for a visit as soon as it’s allowed under current restrictions. This, as with many of the images assumes that the person photographed is enjoying the countryside, but how could you not, with this view. I do like the shadows of the bench, but feel that the the image would be even stronger with a very small trim from the bottom and left hand side. But a lovely photo that well meets the brief. Thank you for entering.
The joy of a child in the countryside, your image has captured it so well. Perfectly timed, there is movement and energy which gives lots of interest. It is formed very well with the large log she is jumping off adding weight and a good contrast with the upright fir trees. I like wi very much, thank you for entering.
Some images are great pictures, but the figures are either far away or looking away from the camera, so one can only presume (not unreasonably), enjoyment. Not so in this case,. It is a great composition with energy and movement, people captured at the just right moment mid stride. I love that you can see all three people clearly and enjoyment can be seen in their faces. It is a joyful image full of life and colour, and made me wish I could join them at the party they are on their way to. A geat image - I loved it!, thank you for entering.
Who could fail to happy taking an Alpaca for a walk? - a great way to enjoy the countryside. A great composition with a stunning background whilst keeping the focus on the people and animals. The cloudy sky adds drama to hillside contouring the slopes adding lots of interest to the image. I can see why you have chosen to keep the figure on the far left hand side, but I might have been tempted to change the colour of the girls jacket as it is a little bit of distraction, but overall a great image, thanks for entering.
what a gorgeous setting, beautifully captured with the sun just disappearing adding a welcome glow and colour to a muted colour palette. THis is another image where the enjoyment is assumed, but who could fail to fall in love with beauty of this location and the sounds of rushing water? A lovely image - thank you for entering.
A great capture of a happy family moment, I hope they got a good shot they can treasure. This is a really composition, the poeples clothing is a good contrast with the lavender. the depth of field is effective in focusing the attention on the family rather than the dominant feature - the lavender. Thank you for entering - it is a lovely image.

This made me sigh in contentment - a fabulous image, very well edited. I like that there is no sun showing in the sky only in the water. The colour pallette is great, very soft with a few highlights giving a mystical feel, especially to the distant mountains. The sitting figure is well positioned in the shot, we know that they can see almost everything we can, and what a stunning vista to look out onto. Thank you for entering - I would have this on my wall at home!!

For this contest, I would like to see your photos of people out enjoying the countryside. This could be hiking, climbing, having a picnic, bird watching, kite flying etc. Animals would also be welcome, but there must be at least one person. Images must be a rural setting, not cities, towns or villages. Colour or black and white and creative edits are welcome. In the interest of fairness, I will not judge images with watermarks or names. I look forward to seeing your submissions.
This is fun image that is striking. a quick look might miss the complex composition and the amount of work that must have gone onto producing the finished photograph. I appreciate the amount of work that went into producing this. The colour palette is very strong and adds greatly to the finished image. Well done for making me smile with your happy photo. thank you for entering my competition.
