Streets and Pavements Made From Cobbles

Well done on getting into my top 10. The lighting in this image is beautiful and really helps the cobbles stand out. I think it would have been placed higher but I find the line at the top where you can just seee the sky, quite distracting. If that would have been kept out of the frame or cropped, I think it would have made a much better image. But overall wonderful image and deserving of a spot in my top 10.

This is a great image of a street with cobbles. I love how you have composed it so your eye leads around the bend in the road. You have also captured some wonderful tones. Well done for being in my top 10!

I kept looking back at this image as I really like it. I think the cobbles all being different shades really helps make the street look interesting. I also like how you have chosen to shoot it with the pavement in. This gives an extra leading line for your eye to follow along. Well done for being in my top 10.

Well done for first place. This image first caught my eye because it is of its old school typical cobbled backstreet. After living with a street like this behind my house for many years im impressed how you took something so everyday and made it shine. The tones captured are beautiful and the angle you have shot it at makes you focus on the cobbles instead of the houses. The line leading up the middle really takes you along all those cobbles. Great image! Again Well done!

This is beautiful, the light is just stunning and you were right to grab a picture of it. Haworth is one of my favourite places and this image really captures the amazing cobbled street that they have. Well done for 2nd place.

What caught my eye and made me really like this photo was the cold temperature of the buildings against the warm glow of the street. It really does give that feel of a town on a winters day and gives me a nostalgic feeling of late nights walking the streets at Christmas. Beautiful image.

What beautiful lighting. You have spotted this light going over the cobbles and were very right in getting a photo. It is tricky as you want the cobbles illuminated in the shadows, but dont want to over expose the archway. You have got the amount of highlight just perfect to be able to see both.
