This atmospheric and foreboding image offers up a psychological interpretation. This is further enhanced by the use of black and white and the sole figure looking out into the sea. The positioning of the individual is perfect and the slight turn of their body to the left works really well formally as our eye then moves across the frame looking at the wall going into the sea at an angle finishing at the pole before the mist comes in. The darkened shoreline leading into the sea really works within the framing of this beautifully captured photograph. It's just lovely. Well done.

This chic summer beach scene is all about been seen and enjoying the sun on your body. The classic framing and sharpness on the back of the women works really well against the softness and blur leading out to the water and the boats off shore. The use of black and white adds to the old school style glamour in this well captured and framed image. It really stood out as being a little different to most entries and that always catches the eye. The skin tones are beautifully judged and the details in the white top she wears is perfect. Great capture. Well done.

This wonderful quiet image benefits from the almost absence of people except for the footprints in the sand. The light glistening on the water is beautiful and well illuminated and the clear crystal blues jump off the screen. The horizon line is well placed as is the sun kept out of shot whilst the potential for glare is very well controlled. I can almost feel the sound of the crashing waves while the evidence of people will soon be washed away until another day begins. Great capture. Very well done.
