I love, love, love this photo. The lines invite the viewer to enter the church and participate in the candle lighting. I like the one unlit candle in the bottom left of the frame. The color, lighting and focus are all amazing. I like the hint of the stained glass windows on the right and at the focal point point of this shot. You have a good eye and did an great job..This is an A++ photograph.
This is a beautiful photograph with great contrasting color. It is vivid and inviting. I like the detail on the fire pit grate. The silhouettes of the trees and buildings in the background against the blue of the night sky add a nice touch. I also like the sparks and embers that are rising into the sky. It really pulls the eye upwards, where one can imagine a sea of far-away stars.
How fortunate you were to be able to capture this planned burn. on film. This is a wonderful shot. I love the detail of the roof on the cupola. The contrast in color of the charred remains, the gray-blue sky and the orange of the inferno really set this picture apart from the rest of the burning buildings that were entered. You can practically feel the heat pouring off this building! Congratulations on a great shot.

I am looking fo your photos of anything that is burnt or burning. The subject of your image can be anything you choose which has been burnt or is still burning. I look forward to seeing your pictures.
Thiis is a very well executed shot of a f a candle burning that could easily have been mundane. The lighting, shadow and focus are exemplary and your photo stands out among the many entries of candles. I like the old wax on the bottle that testifies to candles of the past, and of nights long ago. The height of this white candle suggests that the night is not young, but that there is still time to make new memories. Lovely shot.

I expected to see a lot of barbecue grills and food being cooked, for this contes, and I was not disappointed. However, this shot of "Burning Marshmallows" caught my eye. Unlike many other entries, You kept the focus on the marshmallows and not on the flame. this is often hard to do as the brilliant color of the fire often competes with the object being burned. Your depth of field works very well in this shot. Wonderful job.

I really expected to see more photos showing paper burning. I expected to see photographs of love letters, mortgages and wedding or divorce certificates. I never imagined this clever shot. What a creative idea. You displayed great patience and skill by capturing the fire at just the right point--a moment before the paper will be consumed in the flames and the list becomes illegible. Nice job.
It appears that this tree was encroaching on the path and had to be removed. Instead of using chemicals or a mechanical stump remover, someone went the old-fashioned route and tried to burn the stump out. This is not an easy task, especially in a wooded area such as this. It looks like they have accomplished the task. Soon there will be nothing left but ash. Great capture.I don't normally like the vignette or edge blurring effect, but the technique seems to work well in this smokey shot to draw the eyes toward the focal point. Good job.
