I liked the colours and the serenity of the reflection which certainly gives understanding to why the rock formation got its name. The exposure is spot on and you have presented a good idea of both the size of the structure and the depth with the reflection well done

I like the long exposure where you have given the waterfall a milky effect and highlighted the cave structure although the cave isn’t lit up like many show caves to give a gamut of colours you have captured enough colour to add to the texture of the rocks to make a interesting image

This is a really striking image with a great reflection and the cool blue lighting has captured both the structure of the cave with the stalactites and stalagmites. The reflection is perfectly detailed and I would like to thank you for sharing the image and taking part

In this contest I would like to see your colour photos of underground rock formations. Many caves are open to the public where you can see stalagmites, stalactites and other rock formations created over millennia by the power of water, often lit to show off the formations in all their beauty. However to get good photographs takes skill due to low light. Your images can be taken using any type of lighting, but must show only underground rock formations, so please no pictures of rock formations in the open air above ground. All entries must be in colour.

You have captured a really striking image of the stalactites with the reflection given the lighting used it is a technically difficult shot and I spent a lot of time examining the image both correct way up and inverted to see for any difference in light quality and couldn’t see any so a perfect exposure for both the direct image and reflection well done

This cave and structure brought back many memories for me as it was the first time place that I took a photograph in a cave of a structure like this (35mm slide). This is a very good image with a good reflection as well as showing the depth of the structure. One of the things I have been looking at is the image both inverted and correct way up and there is no difference so you have the exposure for the reflection spot on. Thank you for taking part and rekindling memories

A very impressive cave where I liked the inclusion of both the steps and the person to give an indication of the size. One thing I know that the lights are there and form part of the overall experience but my eye keeps being drawn to the light on the bottom left hand side as it is so bright possibly either a crop or a bit of toning down would have helped but a great image thank you for taking part
