Urban Views from Afar

The way in which the foreground stands out with clarity, detail and colour combinations draws the viewer in and beautifully dominates the image in a spectacular yet modest way.

For me you beautifully capture the urban view from afar and give the viewer the perspective from the treetops. A birds eye view for all. Brilliant!

Although part of the brief encouraged "mundane" images rather than famous views, I just couldn't resist this magnificent image as the Competition Overall Judge's Winner.

The picture is, indeed, taken from afar as the Treetops in the foreground show and you also manage to beautifully combine the urban view with the incorporation of a waterscape and a fabulous sun/sky view. Brilliant work. Well done!

A cheerful, colourful, yet realistic urban view from afar which actually brought a smile to my face with the use of colour, contrast and almost made me feel that I was the photographer.

The cranes and development complement the older buildings and the modern architecture too, while the beautiful sky and the Mersey perfectly frame the shot - Well done!

I love the fact that the image is perfectly captured from afar and is a down to Earth capture of an Urban view, rather than that of an elaborate spectacular over photographed, sky scraper laden City!

The combination of contemporary, modern, older buildings, housing and high rise sky scrapers is brilliantly done. You also manage to achieve excellent clarity in the distance as well as foreground.
