I love this photograph. Each subject compliments each other. It is a fine example that you don't always need bright fresh flowers in a composition. These faded flowers suit the wooden box well and really make a plain box stand out. The use of the hessian background works really well and the low light just finishes it off to give a little Olde Worlde atmosphere. A very striking documentary photograph in a somewhat controversial subject. I like the clean surroundings against the colour, shape and size of the box. The background emphasises the box itself. To some, at first glance, it is a box in the middle of the street until you know the reason and history about it. I think this is a very good documentation of the way life has become in what can sometimes be a very cruel world. well done and thankyou for entering wooden boxes with wooden lids
